A Sweet Visit from Tennis Star Caroline Wozniacki
To celebrate the start of Wimbledon this summer Godiva welcomed tennis star and Godiva brand ambassador Caroline Wozniacki to the luxury Godiva Chocolate Cafe at Harrods. Marking the iconic English Grand Slam with the launch of Caroline’s very own signature chocolate, the Caroline.
The new limited edition chocolate has been created lovingly by Godiva’s Chef Chocolatier Jean Apostolou especially for Wimbledon, and has been named the Caroline after the talented player herself. It embraces the classic Wimbledon flavours with a dark chocolate shell encasing a luxurious strawberry ganache, making for a delicious addition to your Wimbledon picnic hamper.
Chef Chocolatier Jean had the pleasure of welcoming Caroline and a selection of Godiva’s most loyal customers for an exclusive Chocolate Workshop. Guests were delighted with the opportunity to meet the world number 5 tennis star for pre Wimbledon Champagne, Godiva dipped strawberries and to experience the first taste of the decadent Caroline chocolate.
Guests were able to showcase their chocolate making skills under the trusted supervision of Chef Jean, with chocolate lover Caroline proving she was a natural! The chocolate fun was followed with the chance for guests to ask Caroline their burning questions about tennis and of course find out about her favourite Godiva treats, which included our famous dipped strawberries. Along with our guests we wish Caroline the world of luck in the upcoming tournament and will be cheering her on to success!
The Caroline chocolate is available for you to enjoy exclusively in Harrods from the Chocolate Hall or in the Godiva Chocolate Cafe until the end of Wimbledon. Furthermore, why not keep to tradition and like Caroline indulge in some of Godiva’s chocolate dipped British strawberries? They are the perfect match to our Caroline Chocolate this Wimbledon and can be found in the following stores, available dipped in our finest milk, dark or white Belgian chocolate.
